Anime International Company Inc. (株式会社アニメ・インターナショナルカンパニー, Kabushiki gaisha Anime Intānashonaru Kanpanī?), often abbreviated as AIC, is a Japanese anime studio based in Tokyo and founded on July 15, 1982.

As an anime creator, Masaki Kajishima has worked exclusively with the studio. After contributing key animation for shows like Bubblegum Crisis and Gall Force, he and a fellow animator and director, Hiroki Hayashi, were charged with making Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki on a freelance basis. Both are credited as original creators of Tenchi Muyo! but the original concepts were from Kajishima. When Hayashi decided to move on to other projects, only Kajishima was involved with the series from then on, working with a series of other directors and screenwriters.

AIC mostly shuttered its animation production in 2014, with the only shows being produced by the company since then being Ai Tenchi Muyo! and the fourth and fifth seasons of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki.

On April 16, 2021, AIC announced that they have agreed to share ownership of Tenchi Muyo properties, as well as a number of other classic titles, with Toei Animation. The relationship will help ensure continued and new productions.[1]
