Kenshi muyo wog 11 ancient gaia rampage 2

Gaia

Gaia is the last, and most powerful, of the Seikishin built by the Senshi, and was found by Naua, along with Doll. It was later cut in half after a battle with Kenshi.

History[]

Ancient and powerful humanoid constructs that were built by an ancient race called the Senshi. Gaia is the only surviving Sacred Mechalord, and was unearthed intact (although badly damaged, and immobile) by the Shtrayu Empire. It was mainly used as a decoration, before the arrival of Kenshi triggered a response from it. This suggested that, the Sacred Mechalord was alive in some fashion, and possibly recognized Kenshi was the child of Rea, who had battled against Gaia during its rampage.

It was revealed that the Senshi civilization was completely destroyed by Gaia,[1] and suggested this was because of the pilot not properly understanding instructions.[2] Later on it is revealed that Babalun's father put Gaia's Core Crystal in his body when he was young,[3] suggesting that the Mest family had been influenced by it for generations.

It is stated that three Artificial Humans, Nezai, Rea, and Doll, were created to fight against Gaia. With Rea being accidentally sent to Earth, Nezai and Doll were left to fight it. Nezai's body was destroyed (possibly by attacking Gaia with a barrier reactor without a limiter) leaving Doll the only one. Doll and Gaia were then buried for millennia, in hopes that Gaia would never resurface.[2]

After Gaia had been revived with Doll inside of it, erupting from beneath the Holy Land Arena in a huge beam of destructive energy, Kenshi faces off against them, and to everyone's astonishment, was able to fight with them on equal terms. Kenshi's weapon, a large stone obelisk more massive than the Swan but compressed down with his power to be used as a sword by his Seikijin, did little to no damage to Gaia. The tables are later turned when Babalun merges with Gaia, and then fused with the Shield of Gaia, a weapon that it had wielded, that acted as both defense and offense. After fusing with its shield, Gaia took a full barrage from the Havoniwan train's dozens of cannons with zero damage, and with a single swipe of its mouth laser destroyed the flying tower, Babel, which crushed the train from its crash. The Shield increased Gaia's defenses, and granted it incredible regenerative abilities, allowing it to overpower Kenshi. The latter decides to go all out while Gaia continued to regenerate. Gaia kept attacking Kenshi, both with its laser and from shifting its body, extending its arms into whips to hit him from a distance.

With the help of Aura, Chiaia, Wahanly, and Yukine, the forces against Gaia managed to overcharge a barrier reactor and used it as a bomb against the Sacred Mechalord, which detonated with the force of a nuclear weapon. It vaporized a huge chunk of the canyon wall behind Gaia, but unfortunately, while this attack did the most damage to Gaia up to that point, it managed to regenerate fully within seconds.

Kenshi later hears Doll/Mexiah asking him to save her from Babalun/Gaia. In the midst of the battle, Kenshi goes berserk, transforming his obelisk sword into a sword of glowing energy. Even then, Gaia takes several hits from the blade without severe damage, even as it slices cleanly through rock without resistance. However, the energy sword transforms a final time into a Light Hawk sword, causing him to destroy the main core of Gaia and save Doll/Mexiah, both of whom have fallen in love with Kenshi.

Babalun later emerges from the scraps, vowing to kill Kenshi, but Ulyte intervenes and kills Babalun, at which point he collapses and reveals his true identity as Rea Second.

At the end of the story, it is hinted that Dagmyer became infected by Gaia's core jewel.[3]
