Full Recap
In Juraihelm, Ramia greets the audience and explains the story so far from her perspective. She declares that she won't stand for the dimwitted Tsunami to become queen and that she'll overthrow Pretty Sammy. She immediately turns to Rumiya and demands that he come up with a plan for this week.
Today is Sunday, and Misao doesn't have any Prep School, so she's hanging out with Sasami at her house. Ginji then walks inside and tells them about how it was tough to drop some Oxygen cylinders. Confused, Misao asks Sasami what her father actually does for a living, and Sasami answers that he does "all kinds of thing".
Later, Honoka, Ginji, Sasami, and Misao are enjoying cake. Sasami is about to take a bit out of her slice, but Washu, who let herself inside without Sasami noticing, snatches it up and gives Honoka a 92/100 as a score; thankfully, Misao splits her slice of cake with Sasami. They then lounge and watch a scary television show.
In Juraihelm, Ramia punishes Rumiya for failing to come up with a plan by poking him with a bokken. She then accepts Tsunami's invitation to watch Sasami's progress with her in her room.
Misao finishes playing the piano alone at her home. She realizes that she had so much fun with Sasami and her family, but now she's completely alone. Then, she hears a strange creaking noise that causes her to clutch a stuffed animal in fear.
Sasami is taking a bath with Ginji and Ryo-Ohki when Misao calls on the phone. She tells Sasami that she hears a strange noise from outside her house and that she's scared since she's alone and her mother won't be coming home that night. She says that she only wanted to hear her voice, but Sasami asks if it would be alright for her to spend the night with her at her home. Misao gratefully accepts. While her parents already have her belongings ready for her, Sasami almost forgets that she's still only wearing a bath towel. As Sasami runs out of the house and bringing Ryo-Ohki with her, Washu is outside and notices her. She suspects that something is up and resolves to find out what it is.
Sasami arrives at Misao's house, and Misao is very happy that she was able to come. They then play card games while Tsunami and Ramia watch them from Juraihelm. Suddenly, Ramia comes up with a great idea and tells Rumiya about it over the phone.
Sasami and Misao go to sleep while holding hands. Later, Rumiya flies to Misao's home and drops Pixy Misa's magical baton inside her futon. When Misao wakes up and notices the strange object, she looks into Rumiya's eyes and becomes hypnotized. Sasami wakes up and discovers Misao is missing. She finds out that the lights aren't working and inspects the bathroom. Instead of Misao, Sasami finds a ghost that scares her. She runs back to Ryo-Ohki who tells her to transform into Pretty Sammy. However, Pretty Sammy is still scared of the ghost and runs to the roof of the building where she meets Pixy Misa.
Pixy Misa admits that she's the one who created the ghost. When Pretty Sammy asks where Misao is, Misa says that she has her "tucked away", and goes behind a screen divider and repeatedly switches between herself and Misao. Sammy, who has yet to figure out that Misao and Misa are the same person, asks why Misa is panting in exhaustion, but Misa ignores her question and orders her Love-love Monster, "Ghost Girl" to posses Sammy.
Pretty Sammy is unable to hit Ghost Girl with her baton, and things seem helpless until Washu, wearing a Santa costume and flying a high-tech sleigh and reindeer, comes to her rescue. Washu unveils an "aerial chemical element fixation device" that will give the ghost a physical body. She also sticks two observational devices on the side of Sammy's face to measure her magical energy. Pretty Sammy activates the device and annihilates the now-corporeal Ghost Girl with Pretty Coquettish Bomber.
Washu thanks Sammy for the valuable information while Pixy Misa reverts to Misao again. Sasami asks her if Pixy Misa did anything to her, but Misao has no idea who she is talking about.
In Juraihelm, Tsunami is pleased to see the balance of Gemini shift slightly toward good. Meanwhile, Ramia punishes Rumiya by forcing him to be sandwiched between heavy stones.
The next day as Sasami and Misao prepare to walk to school, Sasami is shocked to see Washu's sleigh and reindeer thrown away in a pile of common garbage. Misao, who doesn't remember what happened last night, asks what wrong, but Sasami dodges the question. The two of them run cheerfully to school.
Trivia
- During the scene where Sasami and Misao are hanging out, Sasami's "64 bit, next-generation" video game console is clearly a Nintendo 64, which had been released in Japan about five months prior to when this episode aired in 1996. However, the handgrips on either side of the controller are missing.
- In the same scene, in what is clearly a nod to fans of the Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA series, Sasami shows Misao her horoscope, which is by a certain "Miss Tokimi".
- Ghost Girl is voiced by Yumi Takada, who is well-known as the voice of Ayeka.
- Washu's aerial chemical element fixation device is possibly a reference to the "Atmospheric Element Condenser" from the manga Cutie Honey, which is a device that allows the protagonist Honey Kisaragi to transform into the titular superheroine. Apart from the two devices having similar names, Washu also instructs Sammy to activate her device by saying "Sammy Flash!", similar to how Honey says "Honey Flash!" to transform into Cutie Honey.
- Curiously by this episode events Misao, while she has previously shown awareness of Pretty Sammy’s existence, she was completey oblivious about Pixy Misa’s existence, let alone that they were one at the same. Ironically Misao even held her magic baton, and still couldn’t figure it out. Whether or nor her ignorance was caused due to Ramia blocking her memories, or her being out of the loop about Sammy’s adventures is unclear.
- This episode continues the trend of Pixy Misa targeting people or places that cause her pain as Misao. In this episode She used a love love monster to attack her very own apartment were she was usually too scared to sleep alone. Her summoning a ghost, a classic horror monster, might had been her own way to deal with her fears.
