Mizunagi is the Juraian Treeship of Nishia Tatsuki Jurai. It and its partner serve a minor supporting role in the novel True Tenchi Muyo! Volume 3: Washu.
Nishia was tasked with protecting Washu as she traveled from her original home planet, Kanamitsu, to the Juraian Imperial Academy. He and Washu have to battle a Shank Pirate disguised as a fellow Juraian officer who was deep undercover and had befriended Washu. Mizunagi secretly travels with her transport vessel and is able to support Nishia in his fight with the double agent. They defeat the spy and Nishia and Mizunagi rush off when they receive an alarming message. That message is later revealed to be the destruction of another Juraian ship by a Shank Pirate ship.
