Nakita Kuramitsu (九羅密 吟鍛Kuramitsu Nakita) is a supporting character in Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki and its spin-off Tenchi Muyo! GXP novels

History

Nakita is the husband of Mitoto and father to Mihoshi and Misao. He was simply a Seniwa soldier that worked his way up the ranks until he was able to reach the level where he could meet Mitoto. He took his wife's prestigious name when they married (described in the novels as being "adopted" into the family).[1]

He is a GP Army military officer from Seniwa that briefly appears in OVA 3 and has a larger supporting role in the GXP Novels. He pointedly questions Minami Kuramitsu as to why he is sending the Choubimaru to Earth with Misao to rescue Mihoshi without his authorization. Nakita warns him that since Earth is an undeveloped world, he would risk having the Earthlings see it and cause a general panic. After realizing that Minami intends to destroy the Earth, Nakita knows that Minami is risking a war between the Kuramitsu family and Jurai and also points out that he has a message that Mikami Kuramitsu will sell one of his garden planets if the Choubimaru were to be damaged in the attack. Nakita then gave Minami the other message from Lady Seto that she will buy the planet and enjoy watching Minami squirm, as she only intends to watch.

Nakita OVA5sheet

Nakita was roped into the GP Army Shadow group by an in-law, an uncle on his wife's side of the family, Taima Kurumitsu. Taima was a senior GP Army official, an elder in the Kurumitsu family, who was being talked about as a successor to Mikumo Kurumistu, and used his status to keep Nakita in line. Because of the expanding influence of the Galaxy Police, the prestige of the Galaxy Army was weakening and Taima was trying to strengthen the army and make Seniwa a great military power in the galaxy again (as the GP Army is almost exclusively made of Seniwa soldiers). Although Nakita was just following orders, he was punished with the rest of the group when they were discovered and foiled. He was forced to resign from the army. This has him living at home a lot more, spending time with his wife. Washu informs the secretly alive Mikumo that he's not too upset about the situation and that Mihoshi and Misao may expect a new sibling sooner or later.
