Operation: Lovey-Dovey (ラブラブ大作戦～終焉の始まり～, Rabu-Rabu Daisakusen ~Shūen no Hajimari, Lovey-Dovey Epic Battle ~The Beginning of the End~) is episode 18 of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, third OVA series.
Plot
While Misao goes on one of his livid tirades, the Choubimaru is attacked by Ryoko piloting Ryo-Ohki. Back on the Earth at the Misaki residence. Fujimasa, Sorunaru, and Baguma are shown to be captured in gelatine due to them being handily beat by their respective targets. Fujimasa tries to act tough stating that their superior Mashisu is still out there and will apprehend, Sasami. The person in question, however, arrives with Mashisu encased in the gelatine her subordinates are encased in. After a flashback of how Mashisu was defeated, the quartet telepathically discusses the current matters relating to their plan. This telepathic discussion is intercepted by Washu who elucidates on the whole situation. Thinking that Mihoshi and Tenchi have already fallen into, Misao's trap; it turns out that they haven't left yet. Unbeknownst to all of them, Z was watching everything as it all played out.
Mashisu, with Misao in a tough hold!
Back in outer space, Ryoko continues her battle against Misao in the Choubimaru. Meanwhile, on the Seto's ship, Mashisu and her subordinates party along with the Misaki residents. Soon the ship shows the fight between Ryo-Ohki and the Choubimaru, whereas Ryoko piloting the Ryo-Ohki is gaining the upper hand on it. In order to warn and save the one she loves, Mashisu teleports onto the Choubimaru to try and rescue him. Misao, on the other hand, is too stubborn to give up and is slapped some sense into by Mashisu. With his head finally clear, Misao orders a full-scale shutdown and evacuation. Planning to go down with the ship, Misao is joined by Mashisu. The two then have a heart to heart moment with each other where Mashisu kisses Misao and then are caught in an explosion that injuries Mashisu. She then confesses her love to Misao and then faints unconscious. Washu then telepathically contacts Misao and gives him an ultimatum to chose between Mihoshi and Mashisu. Misao, of course, chooses Mashisu because he loves her. They're then teleported onto Lady Seto's ship and the party continues.
Sometime after this whole fiasco, life returns to normal back at the Misaki residence. That is until a surprise attack from Z that destroys a large chunk of the Earth.
