Paradise Paradigm is the twenty-eigth episode of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki. The fourth episode of OVA 5.
Plot
The episode begins the morning after the previous episode. Kenshi wakes up and leaves his tent and is immediately pounced on by an ecstatic Ryo-Ohki (in her humanoid form). He is then greeted by Tenchi, Ryoko, Ayeka, Sasami, Washu, Mihoshi, and Noike, all walking past him from the beach. Each of them have a satisfied and content look on their face and a certain sparkling glow following after them. When Kenshi asks Ryo-Ohki, “Did something good happen?” her face turns bright red and runs away after the others.
Kenshi spends his day climbing the mountain with Dird, Alea, Palty, and Apuesta. Washu seems to think he has had a small breakthrough in his training and also puts him through a cross country course in which he has to battle Dird’s hand-to-hand combat, Alea’s frightening marksmanship, Apuesta’s booby traps, and Palty’s staff parrying.
Miron and Jovia also make a nuisance of themselves by donning fanciful masks and clothing and acting as villains, out to defeat Kenshi. Miron fails to trigger a trauma in Palty that, at one time, left everyone around her a victim of her berserker attacks. Instead, Palty just beats the two of them for the insult. They are also easily run-over by Kenshi when they try to get in his way.
That night, Tenchi, Seina, and Shou meet at the very top of the mountain to address an incoming attack of Earth’s combined forces on Banjo Island. Tenchi takes out 1,000 missiles fired simultaneously from satellites, Seina uses Zinv to disable or beach any sea vessels that are on their way, and (though he has little confidence in his abilities) Shou detects another couple satellites attempting to fire on them and takes them out with his new Guardian.
The next morning, Katsuhito is on a video call with the apparent leader of the attacks and informs him that the ease of which they were defeated shows the futility of such attacks and tells him that the Earth is not ready for the galaxy’s weaponry. The man asks if he could have his mind wiped of the information, because he can’t take knowing these facts.
The last treat on Banjo Island is a visit to the island’s beautiful hidden cove. Miron and Jovia fail at a final plan when Jovia’s summoned beasts are scared away by Kiriko’s monstrous mecha, Yomotsuookami. Tennyo jumps from its hand (it's unknown if she was piloting it, it piloted itself, or someone else did) and joins their play, Jovia’s beasts carrying everyone around on their backs.
Tenchi, Kenshi and company take the ferry back to Japan. As they leave, they promise to meet again. “Again” comes sooner than expected. When Tenchi open the doors to their home after their long sea and land journey, they find Dird, Alea, Paly, and Apuesta waiting for them in their living room.
