Seiryo's new lucky ship battles the Kamidake and severely damages it, forcing Seina and his crew to retreat. While the ship is undergoing repairs, Amane reluctantly agrees to participate in a fashion show for the Galaxy Police, and once there, she faces off against against Vega, a rival from her modelling days.

The Kamidake has suddenly encountered Seiryo's good luck pirate ship. He then contacts the crew, but before he finishes speaking, Amane fires a flurry of lasers at him. However, the pirates draw bingo balls that allow them to dodge the blasts. Another pirate ship appears out of jump and rams into the Kamidake's shields, disabling them, while Seiryo's ship launches missiles that cause severe damage, forcing them to flee.
General Daluma and Seiryo celebrate their victory over the Kamidake, and Seiryo vows to destroy them the next time they battle. Alan, Barry, and Cohen, meanwhile, are being pampered by women, and they're glad they became pirates.
Back at the Galaxy Academy, Airi and Mikami discuss what happened with the Kamidake and how it won't be operational for some time. Amane is furious that they lost to that "moron" Seiryo, and she lets off some steam by furiously exercising. After she leaves, her mother, Mrs. Kaunaq arrives. She wants Amane to participate in a fashion show that's showing off the new uniforms for Galaxy Police and Galaxy Academy employees. Kiriko brings up how Amane isn't a model anymore, but Mrs. Kaunaq understands that she must respect Amane's decision even if she wants her to quit the GP.
In Mikami's office, Amane flatly turns down the offer to be in the fashion show, even as an order. However, she changes her mind when Mikami gets Seina to admit that he personally wants to see Amane as a model because of how pretty she was, according to his friends.
Seina, Amane, and Mikami arrive at the fashion show space station and are greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Kaunaq, though Mr. Kaunaq mistakenly believes Amane actually quit the GP and returned to modeling permanently. As Amane and Seina walk through the halls, they're unknowingly tailed by Kiriko and Ryoko posing as janitors. Kiriko questions if it's alright to spy on them since they were instructed to stay at the Galaxy Academy, but Ryoko says that it's okay because Neju is looking after Fuku, and she chained NB to the floor.
Amane enters the dressing room, but she gets angry when she sees her father boasting about her "coming back" to modeling. She exits but is met by Jun, one of her old modeling friends, who thinks her father is just excited that she came back. Later, Amane and the other models are getting briefed about the fashion show, consisting of both a catwalk and a battle simulation. Kiriko and Ryoko try to eavesdrop, but they're found by Mikami, who sarcastically commends them for their cleaning.
Meanwhile, while Neju was away getting carrots for Fuku to eat, NB was able to break free from the chains and run away.
Seina is watching Amane put on makeup in front of a mirror, and he says he's amazed at how she looks like a model, but Amane reminds him that she was a model. She then admits that she's a bit nostalgic over modeling because she hadn't done it in a long time, and that she doesn't really hate it. Later, while sitting in the auditorium and watching models rehearse, Seina recalls a moment when Amane said she'll never know how good of a model she'll really be because she's a Kaunaq, contrasting with her admitting that she didn't hate modeling.
Amane snaps Seina out of his daydream, and she mentions that "she" isn't here today. Seina asks who she's talking about, and Amane says that she used to work with a bimbo who used to get on her case every chance she could. Unfortunately, that woman, Vega—accompanied by NB snuggled in her large bosom—shows up. She immediately annoys Amane by claiming that she "ran away" from modeling, as well as making fun of her "rough" and "muscular" hands. She leaves, but Seina cheers up Amane by saying that he likes her hands because they remind him of Tenchi and his mother's hardworking hands and that she's much prettier than Vega.
Sometime later, the fashion show gets underway. First off is a presentation of ordinary workplace attire. Vega first steps out wearing an evening dress, but to her annoyance, Amane steals the spotlight with her more formal dress. At the same time, Mikami makes Kiriko and Ryoko work as part of the team operating the upcoming battle simulation so she won't report them for violating orders.
Next up is the combat wear, with Vega and Jun showing off first. In the dressing room, meanwhile, Amane instructs that her outfit be modified so it's looser around the joints, and she orders a larger pair of gloves. Vega comes over and makes fun of her making adjustments, while NB tells Vega that she has the best body of all the models.
It's now Amane's turn on the stage to participate in the battle simulation, where she needs to shoot several flying targets that fire back. She successfully completes the simulation and wows the audience with her incredible shooting and acrobatics. Amane goes back to Seina and is delighted to hear that he thought she was amazing and looked really pretty out there.
Vega, however, refuses to be outdone by Amane. She attempts to take on the battle simulation herself, claiming she has self-defense training. However, when the simulation begins, Vega isn't strong enough to even hold her weapon properly, and she is instantly zapped by the enemies.
Mr. Kaunaq, upon seeing Amane fight like a GP Officer, accepts that she's gone down her own path and won't return to modelling. Meanwhile, Amane and Seina are in a limousine driving out of the fashion show. Amane is looking forward to a bath, and she invites Seina to join her and give her a massage, saying she was so happy when he called her pretty. Kiriko and Ryoko butt in through a call, but they're powerless to stop Amane from putting her arms around Seina.
Seina, however, believes he's forgotten something. Indeed, back at the fashion show, Vega is furiously kicking NB out of anger, though NB turns out to be a masochist who enjoys the pain.
