Banjo or Tabletop[]

Any thoughts on whether we should use "Banjo Island" or "Tabletop Island" as a primary name? Crunchyroll uses "Tabletop Island" but I personally think it's a stupid decision and am not convinced that the translation will survive if a distributor picks it up for an official release. Yet, at this moment, it is as "official" as you can get. Trying to decide on what name to use is one reason I've resisted making a page for it. Not that we couldn't change it later, when/if needed.Nonsuch Ned (talk) 21:17, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

  • I think you should leave it as "Tabletop Island" since it is the official release.Carto531 (talk) 13:33, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
  • Indeed the Crunchyroll version is the only officially translated version of OVA 5 at the moment, so we should just go with "Tabletop Island" for the time being. If OVA 5 is redistributed (which could take who knows how long) and uses the name "Banjo Island", then you can change it to that. Of course I don't really care either way. Volumes[]

So, Carto added the tabs. As it's only three volumes and it's all the series is comprised of, it works. But it would be the only page of this kind that has tabs like this. In other examples there would be a tab that is labeled "Novels" and a list... but again, with only three volumes, that seems silly... which is why I put them under a heading instead of a tab. For now, I added the redirects so the tabs went somewhere but didn't remove my "Volumes" headings yet. We could also put tabs on each volume... but the navigation is also in the info box- and adding tabs to the volumes... would require making ech of THOSE tabs into redirects too. ...another option would be to reverse the redirects. Put the content into the tabs and make the original pages into redirects to the tabs (if you understand what I mean)- that way the parent tabs would work fine.Nonsuch Ned (talk) 02:22, 5 February 2021 (UTC)

  • Ned, I wanted to use the tabs not to redirect the volumes to the other articles but to do it similar to Washu's tabs to the spinoffs. https://tenchi.fandom.com/wiki/Washu_Hakubi I thought it would be a better way to organize the page to make it more user friendly instead of clicking and going to another page. I think it will be a great idea to use this as well on the light novels for structural purposes.Carto531 (talk) 21:40, 4 February 2021 (PT)
Yes, because of its (lack of) length it certainly works with Paradise War as a way to go. But it is not a standardized way to do it. A novel series having a tab for every volume is like a show having a tab for every episode. And right now, it's redundant. I assume you'd prefer we keep the tabs instead of the pages (which we make redirects to the tabs). There's also navigation to the novels in the very top drop-down menu under "novels>PW" - and if we do tabs we need to delete my Volumes header and should completely delete the "Next" navigation in the info box.Nonsuch Ned (talk) 12:56, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Actually, what I wanted to do, but never got around to it, was to make a special infobox that listed the volumes in the infobox.Nonsuch Ned (talk) 14:28, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
I agree with Nonsuch Ned. Antvasima (talk) 20:17, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
So... remove the tabs and make a new info box so the Volumes aren't under a header?Nonsuch Ned (talk) 20:38, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
Preferably yes. Antvasima (talk) 22:18, 5 February 2021 (UTC)
