Misao's father is finally coming home from overseas, and she can't be more excited about it seeing him again, and neither could Sasami be happier for her friend. At the same time, Ramia has one last chance to prevent Tsunami from becoming queen of Juraihelm, and she convinces Rumiya to transform Misao into Pixy Misa one last time so she can use her full magical power to defeat Pretty Sammy in a final showdown.
Full Recap
Misao is playing the piano at school. Sasami notices that she’s playing the song “Misao”, which was written by her father, Shigeki. When asked why she’s practicing it so late, Misao says that she’s going to play it later for her father because he’s coming home on Saturday.
Rumiya is watching Sasami and Misao’s conversation from Juraihelm and is happy about Misao reuniting with her father, but he is interrupted by Ramia, who demands he come up with yet another plan to defeat Pretty Sammy. Rumiya tries telling his sister that Pretty Sammy was too powerful for even the Lovely Madams and Hikari, but Ramia is not having any of it. Then, he tries to convince her that they should just leave Misao alone because she’s so happy about father coming home. Ramia playfully teases her brother for having a crush on Misao and promises that this will be the last time they’ll transform Misao into Pixy Misa, but on the condition that this time, they’re going to pump her magical power to the max so that she’ll definitely defeat Pretty Sammy. Rumiya agrees and leaves for Earth, and it’s revealed that at this point, the balance of Gemini has almost returned to normal. Thus, this is Ramia’s last chance to stop Tsunami from becoming queen of Juraihelm.
At school, class 3-4 tries coming up with ideas for what to do for the upcoming school festival, but class representative Eimi rejects all of them because they’re not good enough. The school day ends, and Misao’s mother, Kotoe catches up to her daughter and Sasami in her car while they’re walking home. Kotoe had bought some ingredients to prepare for dinner when Misao’s father returns today, but she forgot to buy roses, which he loves, so she gives Misao some money to buy some. Misao excitedly runs off and Sasami gets a ride home from Kotoe.
Misao encounters Rumiya in bird form after walking out of the flower store with a bouquet of roses. She tells him about how excited she is about her father coming home and that she’ll be able to live with both her parents, but Rumiya interrupts her thoughts by suddenly transforming her into Pixy Misa. He then tells Misa that this is her final battle and that she needs to muster as much power as she can to create chaos. While Rumiya realizes that this will be the last time he’ll ever need to see her, Misa picks up the dropped bouquet and begins using her magic on it to exponentially increase its size.
Sasami and her parents make a toast to Misao’s happiness during dinner, but Ryo-Ohki notices that there’s trouble. At the same time, Washu’s NT gauge is picking up something as well. They both look outside and are shocked to see a giant rose (which Tsunami describes as a “Hyper Love-love Monster”) that’s destroyed several buildings downtown. Sasami blocks out the pollen by breathing through a cloth towel, but everyone else who breathes it, including her parents and classmates, begin hating each other. Sasami then transforms into Pretty Sammy while Washu boards up her house and begins monitoring the situation with an aerial invention of hers.
Shigeki is in a taxi that’s stuck in traffic on the highway out of Yokohama. As soon as he learns about the giant rose causing chaos in Tokyo, however, he gets out and starts running on foot because his wife and daughter need him. At home, Kotoe watches the news about the giant rose and similarly runs outside.
Pixy Misa is laughing maniacally as she overlooks the destruction of the city from on top of the Hyper Love-love Monster, but she is cut short when Pretty Sammy arrives and demands she turn everyone back to normal. Pixy Misa refuses, saying that this is her final battle and her reputation is on the line and attacks Sammy with large rose vines. Washu, observing the battle, discovers that Pixy Misa’s magical power is three times greater than before.
Pretty Sammy has been trapped by the vines, but before Misa can finish Sammy off, she hears her father’s voice in the distance as both he and her mother are looking for her on the street below. Sammy breaks free from the vines while Misa is distracted and the two continue their battle. Misa again gains the upper hand and shoots a blast of magic at Sammy, but it loses its power after Misa hears her father’s voice again. She then sees her parents having an emotional reunion and is so overwhelmed that she stops fighting completely.
Sammy’s magical baton gains immense power from Kotoe and Shigeki’s love as well are her desire for Misao to be happy, and she sends a Pretty Coquettish Bomber toward the Hyper Love-love monster and destroys it. Meanwhile, Pixy Misa falls to the ground and reverts back to Misao, but she wakes up with Misa’s magical baton in her hands. When Pretty Sammy and Ryo-Ohki find her, they, along with Tsunami and Washu, finally realize that Misao was Pixy Misa all this time.
A shocked Sammy drops her baton and reverts back to Sasami, revealing her secret as well. Realizing that she’d been fighting her best friend, Misao cries out in anguish and suddenly disappears in a beam of light, leaving behind only her baton. With her friend gone, Sasami begins weeping helplessly on the ground.
Trivia
- During the scene where class 4-3 decides on what they’ll do for the school festival, Kenji suggests they perform the “Dance of the Dead”. He is referring to Bon Odori, a ceremonial dance that is performed during Bon Festivals and is meant to welcome the spirits of the dead.
- In a fourth wall break, when Rumiya transforms Misao into Pixy Misa, she notes that she hasn't done this mutation in two weeks, referring to how she didn't appear in the previous episode, You are the Sunshine Girl.
- This episode uses a different title sequence than previous episodes, being simply a black screen with text and piano music in the background. It's most likely a subtle means of foreshadowing how this episode contains major plot developments.
- Pixy Misa uses a new attack when fighting Pretty Sammy called "Pixy Lovely [Sexual] Fire", which demonstrates Pixy Misa's increased magical ability as was mentioned by the Lovely Madams shortly before their defeat in the episode Farewell Team Lovely Madams!.
- Shigeki is voiced by Takehiro Murozono, who is also the voice of Umanosuke Tsuchida–one of Tenchi Masaki's classmates from Tenchi in Tokyo.
