Having absorbed all of the magical power within Juraihelm through the use of the NT System, Romio uses it to power her "magical cannons" in order to push Earth closer to the sun, thereby destroying it. To get to Juraihelm and stop Romio, Pretty Sammy accepts Washu's help and launches in her rocket ship with her, Ginji, and Ryo-Ohki. At the same time, Misao wants to help Pretty Sammy and asks Rumiya to do her a big favor.

Full Recap

The episode begins with a narration by Romio, who tells us that she learned something very important in her childhood: “Put something away for a rainy day”. Hence, she already had a backup plan ready in case Love-Me Eimy was defeated. This backup plan is, of course, the NT System, which captures magical power. She calls Tsunami and Ramia “weird young ladies” and reiterates that the next part of her plan is to destroy Earth, for which she will renew her determination.

Romio finds the planet Earth disgusting and wants to move it. She activates the “magical cannons” she herself invented and is powered by the collective magical power of Juraihelm’s people. She fires the cannons and the projectile, which shapes itself into a hand, literally smacks the Earth. Sammy and class 4-3 see the moon getting smaller and assume it’s moving away from Earth, but Oryo says that the Earth is moving away from the Moon; worse, it headed right into the Sun!

While Mihoshi is shocked when realizing that Ryo-Ohki can talk, Oryo tells Pretty Sammy that she’s returning to Juraihelm to see if there’s a way to save Earth. Pretty Sammy wants to go too, but Oryo tells her that this is a job for a guard, and that she wants her to stay on Earth in case Romio attacks. She leaves for Juraihelm through a portal, but just before it closes, Rumiya flies through it and hits Ryo-Ohki.

In Juraihelm, Oryo finds Tsunami on the floor—alive, though very weak. Romio somehow snuck up on Oryo, and she tells her that she captured everyone’s magical power to use for her magical cannons. Oryo demands that Romio return the Earth and everyone back to normal and tries attacking her when she refuses, but the NT System activates and Oryo suddenly collapses on the ground.

While Mihoshi is shocked that he can talk, Rumiya tells Ryo-Ohki the situation in Juraihelm and begs for Pretty Sammy to go there and help. Kenji, however, asks the obvious question: how are she supposed to get there? Thankfully, Washu, wearing a cowboy getup and poncho, arrives with a guitar tune and offers help with getting into space. After Sammy and class 4-3 have a huddle, Sammy asks for Washu’s help.

They arrive at Washu’s home, which splits in two and reveals the same rocket she used to get here from Washington, D.C. Mihoshi asks Washu if she can actually operate the rocket, and Washu admits that she hasn’t actually been in outer space before. Just then, Ginji arrives wearing a spacesuit, and Washu discovers that among his many, many licenses, he happens to be a NASA astronaut.

Romio is enjoying tea and the thought of the Earth being destroyed, though she laments she won’t ever have to use her magical cannons again. Meanwhile, as Ginji, Washu, and Pretty Sammy enter the rocket, Ryo-Ohki asks Rumiya why he isn’t coming. He claims he doesn’t want to exceed the weight limit, but it’s clear that he wants to be near Misao. Ryo-Ohki pretends to believe him and gets in the rocket.

Misao tells Pretty Sammy to be careful, but Sammy insists that she’ll be in and out of Juraihelm and proceeds to board with Ryo-Ohki. Inside, Ginji suddenly gets very excited about going into space and his instincts take over as they launch into space.

Misao now confronts “Birdie” (Rumiya) in an alley and asks if he was the one who had been transforming him into Pixy Misa. Rumiya admits it was him, but before he can apologize, Misao asks him if he could use Misa’s magical baton and transform once again. She explains that, all this time, Pretty Sammy had been rescuing her, and now she wants to be the one to rescue her. Rumiya warns her that if she transforms again, Pixy Misa may not “embrace her feelings”, but Misao says she’ll no longer hide her weakness of jealousy anymore, and that although she’s full of contradictions, she’s come to love both herself and Misa. Rumiya finally agrees and hands Misao her magical baton. Rumiya also offers to tell Misao the magic words she would need to to transform. Misao declines, revealing she already knows them, and proudly stating “I know. because I am Misa!”, reiterating how Pixy Misa and her are one and the same, And then, for the first time, Misao willingly transforms into Pixy Misa by chanting “Pixy Mutation Magical Recall!”.

Pixy Misa makes her dramatic re-introduction after being away for some time, but Rumiya asks her how she’s going to get to Juraihelm. Misa points to a television broadcast news out of America, where the space shuttle Endeavour is about to launch toward Juraihelm in an attempt to negotiate with Romio. Before Rumiya can protest, Pixy Misa grabs him and teleports both of them to America. At the same time, class 4-3 finally discover that Misao was Pixy Misa, and Hiroto suddenly runs away.

Hiroto makes it to his home—which doubles as his father’s artisan business—and gets the piggy bank from his room. Outside, he is confronted by Konoha, who tells him she knows that he’s trying to use the money to get to the moon just so he can impress Misao. She calls him pathetic for chasing after a girl who might not even like him and questions if he’ll even make a difference if he does. Hiroto tells Konoha she couldn’t possibly know how he feels, but she tells him that she does know because right now, he’s doing the same thing she is (that is; Konoha is admitting that like him, she’s been chasing after someone who might not like her). She laments that she can’t compete with a magical girl, while Hiroto gives up on his endeavor and sits on the ground.

Pixy Misa and Rumiya have commandeered the space shuttle bound for Juraihelm after locking the craft's crew inside of a warehouse. When she tries introducing herself to mission control, she accidentally hits her head against the roof of the spacecraft. Nevertheless, she declares that she’s coming to help Pretty Sammy.

Sammy gets a sudden chill as Pixy Misa calls out her name. Then, as soon as their rocket enters Juraihelm, Romio activates a set of laser defenses and fires on the craft. Ginji unsuccessfully tries dodging, and the rocket is sliced in two, with Sammy and Ryo-Ohki being separated from Ginji and Washu before they crash. Sammy survives the crash mostly unscathed, but she is shocked at the sight of the “magical” kingdom of Juraihelm—a depressing wasteland of dead trees and bubbling pits that reminds her of Hell.

Trivia

  • The space shuttle that Pixy Misa and Rumiya commandeer to get to Juraihelm, the Endeavour, exists in real life as the fifth and final orbiter built as part of NASA's Space Shuttle program.
  • In the episode Friends, inside Misao’s mind, it is Pixy Misa who claims that she and Misao are one and the same. In this episode now Misao is the one to declare how “She is Misa.” Mirroring the idea that both identities, Pixy Misa, and Misao, are two sides of the same soul.
