Personality
Ukan Kurihara is domineering and sultry but has a strong sense of duty, whether it be to her students or her employer. While she is a proud officer, she also takes her teaching position seriously and will put the lives of her students above the interests of the undercover job.
Background
Her background before the series is unknown. Ukan is the Junai Academy head teacher of the class that Tenchi is assisting. She is later revealed to be an undercover Galaxy Police Officer. She is subordinate to the commander but seems to be Mihoshi's superior officer.
She alternately flirts with Tenchi and warns him that he should keep a proper distance between himself and the female students. She repeatedly puts him into positions to punish and/or humiliate Tenchi, possibly because he refuses her advances or just because she is always finding him in unintentionally suggestive circumstances with the girl student body.
