Tenchi Muyo Wiki

Welcome to Tabletop Island is the twenty-seventh episode of Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki. The third episode of OVA 5.

The beginning of this episode occurs soon after the events of the novel series Paradise War conclude.

Plot

An island with a force field is hovering in space, laser blasts deflecting off. Tabletop Island (Banjo Island) shows Tenchi, Washu, Shou Kukoma and Miron Pham on it's bridge watching Alea Balta, Dird Shank, Palty Jurai, and Apuesta Daluma blasting away at some pirates from a far distance. Washu notices some ships that need attention and Tenchi warps out to handle some by himself, including one that looks suspiciously like a Borg Cube, which he slashes at with his sword, envelops it in light, and shrinks it down to about 1 inch in length.

While watching Ryo-Ohki and Fuku "play" with Kenshi, the people inside look on. Jovia and Miron (new best friends, it seems) perform an impromptu Manzai comedy routine whose content seems to confirm Jovia married Seina along with a "great beauty." Discussions in the home involve Washu splitting the ship component of Tabletop Island from the island itself, inviting Tenchi and friends to the island for a visit, revealing that Miron has become "Prime Minister" of Earth's representative seat in the Galaxy Federation, and Miron giving Tenchi some actually good advice about his Harem situation.

Seina, in his Minamida sunglasses and cap, take Tenchi, Kenshi, and his girls to the island in a ferry and are greeted by Shou's group. Miron insists they all strip for a thorough exam and Fuku pops up and throws her in the bay. She can swim surprisingly well in a lab coat and high heels.

After Washu explains how they want Dird, Alea, Palty, and Apuesta to play with Kenshi in the subjects they know best, they all split up and enjoy the island in their own way, ending their first day with an outdoor barbecue and settling Kenshi down for bed in a tent full of every cabbit.

OVA 5-vol 3 inside

After another day of Kenshi playing hard, making new friends his age, exploring the ocean shore, and running and jumping through the forest, Tenchi puts him to bed. When he leaves, he notices Ryoko stargazing on the beach and goes out to talk with her about the differences between being on Earth and traveling the stars. Ryoko says she now quite likes Earth and her home with Tenchi, even if she has to deal with Ayeka's nagging and Washu's cloying behavior with her. Ayeka suddenly pops up between them with a "What did you say?!" Behind her he sees that Sasami, Ryo-Ohki, Washu, Mihoshi, and Noike are there too. Ryoko declares that the others all seem to think the same about living with Tenchi as she does as they all look at him with blushing faces.

Tenchi considers how he feels about them all and how he thinks he should act as an Earthling. He then asks them all "Can I... can I make a selfish wish?"
